Dear Noelle,
Thank you very much for your reply on this podcast. You are correct, I did not resolve my past problems, in fact I was never quite sure where to start. However, you both have helped me a lot in calming down and looking at one problem at a time. I truly want to thank you for that! I do feel quite alone and at the same time overwhelmed with all of this and by answering my questions you have given me a lot of support.
Best, Charlotte

i absolutely love you two! I look forward to listening to you each week during my work commute. I loved today’s episode! I’ve been struggling BIG TIME after doing the whole30 successfully. i do not have any auto-immune diseases or food sensitivities. i feel like i’m struggling with my food more now than before doing the whole30 b/c i’m almost scared to eat the “non-paleo” foods. i feel like i’m going to screw something up when i eat ice cream or a sandwich or something. any ideas how to move past it?

Friend! We love you too! 🙂 Yes – we have many ideas. I would suggest doing some self-reflection on why you’ve developed this more stringent relationship with food. Are there underlying fears that are affecting you and facilitating this fear? In reality, food is just food. Labeling a food “good” or “bad” can be very tricky for people because it turns food into an activity that defines our worth. We’re only good or “worthy” when we eat “good” foods, and bad when we eat “bad” foods. Try looking up more information on intuitive eating (www.intuitiveeating.com). In the long run, it’s all about trusting your instinct, and your ability to feed yourself the right things. And of course – see food for what it is (aka… just food!) Hope that helps!

I am catching up on episodes and I just listened to this one. You mentioned the “low fitness category” a lot and I was wondering what “low fitness” is defined as in the studies. I tried to Google it but couldn’t a definition easily. Thanks!
Noelle says
Hi Hollie! From what I understand, “low fitness” is basically not doing any sort of fitness related activities. Getting yourself out of this category would including implementing 30-60 minutes of activity, like walking, 3-5 times a week. Hope that helps! 🙂 Thanks for your support!
