This podcast was so fantastic that it actually helped me to have a moment of clarity!! I am going to pursue my NTP in the Fall of 2017 after a year of thinking about it!!! I have been teaching group fitness for 27 years… everything under the sun. In addition, I have been immersing myself in everything nutrition for almost 4 years after, like you, learning about the Balanced BItes Podcast and Diane Sanfillipo. I have been too afraid to go forward with this not even knowing for sure what was holding me back. Maybe because this has been my own journey and one that I haven’t even shared with my closest friends and family let alone my students? I haven’t shared because I am still such a work in progress. Coming back from Adrenal fatigue and having set backs.. struggling to stay the course on the nutritional plan that makes me feel good, etc. Anyway…. On to how and why your podcast helped me….
Although I have followed you on all areas of social media including your periscope workouts last year and all of your podcasts, I guess I didn’t realize that you came from a background somewhat similar to mine in your credentials. You were in the field of athletics, interested in nutrition and you went for it. It just made me say to myself, “WHY NOT ME?” My twin boys are both college bound in the fall and it will just be hubby, puppy and me. I can’t teach the amount of fitness classes I do for the rest of my life( I have many many injuries and a lot of pain) but I love my students and I love making a difference in their lives.
I think that is mostly what I wanted to say except that I am team pink lady and I also LOVE honey crisp and jazz apples. lol.
I love your show and movie references as well as Stefani’s and find myself talking out loud or cheering to your podcasts.
Thank you for all you are doing to promote empowerment and self acceptance. I look forward to 100 more episodes from both of you!!
Sincerely,
Marla Primack
